Lets discuss different ways to earn an income. In particular, Active and Passive Income.
Active Income is what we earn each day in our jobs. We have to actively work to receive the income. The biggest example of this is the J.O.B. (Just Over Broke). You work 40 hours per week for a minimum wage whilst your boss is getting rich!
How do you increase your income when it is an Active Income? Simple, work more hours or get a higher hourly rate. Change jobs.
However there is a much better way to earn an income.
Passive Income is income that just keeps coming in. You do the work ONE TIME to set yourself up and continue to collect the income on an ongoing basis. Let's look at some examples of passive income.

Real Estate - Owning real estate and receiving rental income is a form of Passive Income

Business - Owning a business that generates income whether you are there to run it or not. Something that is self sufficient.

Author - Write a book or even a song and receive royalty income.
There are problems with these options. You either need a lot of money to start or a skill that is very rare.
